Poliquat® 506 is a highly effective cationic polymer designed to act as a conditioning and film-forming agent in cosmetic formulations, particularly in hair care products. Its affinity for hair fibers ensures excellent deposition, promoting conditioning, reducing frizz, and significantly improving combability, both when dry and when wet. It also helps align the hair strands, imparting a soft touch and a silky feel.

It offers excellent compatibility with surfactant systems, including anionic formulations, and is widely used in shampoos, conditioners, and hair masks. Its film-forming action helps retain active ingredients and protect hair from external aggressors, while also imparting shine and a healthy appearance, thereby enhancing the performance and value of formulations.

POLIQUAT® 506 remains stable for at least 24 months when stored in its unopened packaging, protected from moisture, at temperatures below 30°C. When using portions of a package, it is recommended to mix the product thoroughly first.
